Eintracht Frankfurt reveal Filip Kostic is out of their Super Cup squad to face Real Madrid as the wing-back is leaving the club... with the West Ham target 'closing in on a switch to Juventus'
- Filip Kostic is said to be on the verge of a move to the Italian giants this summer
- Left wing-back was influential in Frankfurt's Europa League win last term
- West Ham had been in for the player but appear to have been beaten to the hunt
Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt have revealed Filip Kostic will not take part in Wednesday evening's Super Cup as the wing-back is set to leave the club.
Kostic, who was so influential in the club's greatest ever success last term, had been the subject of much interest from around Europe this summer, not least from West Ham.
However, on the eve of their Super Cup tie with Real Madrid, the club have revealed that Kostic has not travelled to Finland owing to him being set to depart. It is believed that a move to Juventus is imminent.

'Kostic is not part of the squad for tomorrow’s game, because he is leaving the club,' head coach Oliver Glasner confirmed in a press conference ahead of the game in Helsinki.
Kostic had been in talks with West Ham who it has been reported offered a larger fee to Frankfurt but the Serbian preferred a move to Turin.
The deal to bring Kostic to the Allianz Arena in Turin is said to be worth around £14m. West Ham are believed to have offered close to £17m, according to Football Italia.

Kostic's importance to Frankfurt should not be understated and the Europa League winners will be hard placed to replace his influence this coming campaign.
In 43 games for Frankfurt last term, the Serbian recorded seven goals and 15 assists.
Kostic, should he remain fit, will prove a crucial cog in Serbia's World Cup team this coming winter.
Meanwhile, West Ham's attention has been forced to turn elsewhere after being left disappointed in their pursuit of the left wing-back.
The club have contacted Paris Saint Germain over the availability of Thilo Kehrer as they look to bolster their options following the imminent sale of Issa Diop to Fulham for £15m.
