Leeds ‘closing in on Ismaila Sarr’ as Watford star nears contract agreement
Jesse Marsch could be ready to welcome another new face to Elland Road as Leeds United are 'closing in' on the signing of Watford Ismaila Sarr days after he netted from inside his own half
Leeds United are closing in on the signing of Watford winger Ismaila Sarr as Jesse Marsch pushes for a deal.
Sarr has started both of Watford's games in the Championship this season - even scoring from the halfway line against West Brom. According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Leeds are pushing ahead to swiftly conclude the deal.
However, the Peacocks could face competition for his signature from their old foes Manchester United. United's technical director Darren Fletcher reportedly travelled to The Hawthorns to watch Sarr in their Monday night clash against the Baggies.

United have previously tried to acquire the services of the 24-year-old in 2020, one season after Watford had acquired his services from Stade Rennais.
Leeds are looking for a winger to replace Raphinha, who they sold to Barcelona earlier in the window. And the pair played alongside each other in Ligue 1 for Rennais.
However, according to the report, Leeds still might have to offload another player if they are to secure the services of the AFCON international.

Liverpool have also been repeatedly linked with the services of the winger in recent years.
However, Jurgen Klopp is yet to make a move for Sarr - and it's unlikely the Reds will challenge for his signature this window.
