FC Midtjylland sporting director Svend Graversen admits there is interest in wantaway star Evander amid links with Rangers - but they will only sell at the right price.

Record Sport understands Giovanni van Bronckhorst is still interested in signing a defensive midfielder and the versatile Brazilian could fill that void, who is keen to find a new club before the deadline after negotiating an exit agreement with the Danes. Copenhagen has been linked with a swoop for the 24-year-old, with Rangers interest appearing to gather pace within the last 24 hours with time running out in the summer window.

Graversen admits there is little pressure to sell their star man who is contracted at the club until 2025, but has given the green light for the player to move on should the "right money" be put on the table. The Scottish Premiership side are pushing for the Champions League and could land a bumper payday should they see of PSV in the playoff.

When put on the spot about the links to Rangers by Danish outlet Bold, Graversen said: "Evander has been one of the Superliga's best players, so of course there has been interest. From there to specific offers and from there to a transfer, we are not there yet, because otherwise he would not play in the team.

"So there is interest, yes. There are also many rumours, but I cannot comment on them.

"I hope that Evander gets the change that he has deserved and to the right club and for the right money. He needs that step in his career.

"On the other hand, I also hope he stays. We are entering an exciting season, where we will once again play for the championship and Europe, and there we need as many good players as possible, and he is one of our best."
