Christopher Jullien ‘completes Celtic transfer exit’ as he joins Montpellier for fraction of the £7m Hoops paid

CELTIC defender Christopher Jullien has reportedly signed a three-year deal with French side Montpellier.
The 29-year-old hasn't featured at all for Celtic this season and has only made one appearance for the club under Ange Postecoglou.
It was reported by L'Equipe the centre-back arrived in France on Monday and completed his medical examination today to join the Ligue One side.
It is also reported Montpellier have offered Jullien a three-year contract as the French club have bought out his remaining one-year deal with Celtic for around one million Euros - excluding bonuses.
He leaves for a fraction of the price the Hoops paid for him back in 2019 as the Scottish Champions forked out over £7m for the centre-back's expertise from Toulouse.
The forgotten defender has only played 16 minutes of football under Postecoglou as he came on against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup.

The Frenchman has spent the majority of the last 18 months out with an injury after he collided with the post in a league match against Dundee United back in January 2021.
Since his return from injury the defender has struggled to break back into the starting line up as Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt have formed an impressive title winning partnership.
Jullien was set to leave Celtic earlier in the summer after he passed a medical at Schalke but the move fell through as he couldn't agree personal terms with the German club.
The Auxerre academy graduate will draw a line under his Parkhead career with his move away as he returns to the French Ligue One where he spent three years previously.

The former U20 French international made 62 appearances for Celtic across all competitions and scored 10 goals for the club.
Jullien won two Scottish Championships, the Scottish Cup and the League Cup during his time in the east end of Glasgow.
The move comes after Moritz Jenz joined the Hoops this summer from Lorient with Stephen Welsh already another strong back-up option for Postecoglou.
