Manchester United fans are delighted following Bruno Fernandes' opener against Southampton.

Erik ten Hag selected the same side that beat Liverpool on Monday night which meant Fernandes kept hold of the captain's armband for the trip to St Mary's. The Portuguese ace repaid that faith in the second half to give United the lead.

Good build-up play from the Reds down the right hand side led to Diogo Dalot putting the ball into the area where Fernandes was waiting to provide a lovely cushioned finish past the Saints goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu. It was much-needed for United who had played out a relatively even first 45 with Southampton.
