Joel Dixon - 6.5

Should have dealt with cross much better for equalising goal and collided with Toal. Otherwise solid in goal as Crewe didn't force him into action much.

Will Aimson - 7

Booked for first half challenge on Bassala Sambou. Generally solid on the left of the back three.

Eoin Toal - 8

Handed debut after summer move from Derry City. Bit of a mix-up with Dixon for equalising goal. Aside from that, an encouraging showing on his first game in a Bolton shirt.

George Johnston - 8

Got forward well at times from back three. Consistently good at the back defensively and put in some key challenges to snuff out Crewe attacks.

Gethin Jones - 7

Got in behind and put in dangerous cross which led to opening goal. Caused problems down the right flank throughout the first half. Replaced at half-time.

George Thomason - 8

Played in front of the back three and looked good in that position, adding some bite in midfield and was bright on the ball. Some lovely passs at times

Josh Sheehan - 8

First game back for midfielder after being out since November with a ruptured ACL. Impressive showing from the Wales international who was bright on the ball throughout.

Jack Iredale - 7.5

Played as left wing-back and got forward well on that flank. Set up Charles' second goal with nice low cross.

Kieran Sadlier - 7.5

Operated in the number 10 role in one of his first outings from the start of a match for Bolton. Some nice touches and passes at times and scored Bolton's third goal with classy finish.

Dapo Afolayan - 8

Great range of passing from forward, one of the chief creators for Wanderers and attempts on goal asked questions of Dave Richards. Taken off after an hour

Amadou Bakayoko - 7

Clinical finish when early chance presented itself. Perhaps could have had one or two more in the first half.

Substitutes:

Conor Bradley - 6.5

Came on at the break for Jones. Some bright play at times.

Ricardo Santos

Slotted into middle of back three in place of Toal - a solid showing from the bench.

Elias Kachunga - 7.5

Saw penalty shout turned down not long after coming on. But played well after coming on and got two assists.

MJ Williams - 7

Played in his usual role in front of the back four after coming on.

Dion Charles - 8

Looked bright and lively after coming off the bench and great work and tenacity to put Bolton ahead.
