The striker has kickstarted his career in the Australian third tier with Mandurah City.

Leigh Griffiths in fan confrontation

Fuming Leigh Griffiths confronted a fan while in action for Mandurah City as the former Celtic star's Australian adventure turned sour.

The Scotland cap has been in top form since his move Down Under, as he netted his second goal in as many games in the third tier of football in the Australian league structure against against Dianella White Eagles, with City leading 4-2 at the time of the incident. Griffiths had run towards the crowd to grab the ball for a corner before an exchange with a supporter on the left-hand side of the pitch.

The fan appears to say something to the 31-year-old as he walks away with the ball under his arm, before Griffiths doubles back to confront the man in the stands. He approaches the elderly man as they exchange verbals, before the spectator shoves the forward and Griffiths responded with a similar shove before returning to the action.
