Grant McCann wants his Peterborough United side to bounce back to winning ways this weekend by concedes the clash against Bolton Wanderers will be a tough test for his team.

Posh make the trip to take on Wanderers this weekend. McCann's side are back in League One after being relegated from the Championship last season.

After a bright start, Posh have faded in recent weeks and lost their last five matches in all competitions, including their last three in the league. The most recent of these came in midweek against Fleetwood Town.

Former Wanderers midfielder Josh Vela found the back of the net for Fleetwood at London Road to inflict a 1-0 loss on the hosts. Posh have dropped out of the play-off places as a result and have been leapfrogged by Wanderers.

McCann wants his side to bounce back against Ian Evatt's men, but knows it will be a challenge against Wanderers and the style of play they have. But he has confidence in the Posh dressing room to show the right reaction to the loss against the Cod Army.

McCann told the Peterborough Telegraph : "It’s a tough game. Bolton are a good team with a good style of play.

"We’re still very early into the season and there are still lots of points to play for and lots of games to play. Tuesday was a disappointing one for us, particularly at home as we fancy our chances against anyone at London Road, but we just didn’t get it right against Fleetwood.

“We have to bounce back and try and get a result at Bolton. It’s going to be tough, but I believe in the group of players we have in our changing room and I believe that they will react in the right way to Tuesday night.”
