Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Monaco right-back Vanderson in January, with a number of other Premier League sides also interested.

As per SPORT, the 21-year-old - who only joined the Ligue 1 outfit from Brazilian side Gremio in January - has caught the attention of the Reds after making an impressive start to the season.

The report claims that United enquired about the defender last month, but Monaco manager Philippe Clement and the club’s owners rebuffed the approach. He has made 33 appearances for the French giants since signing for the club, registering two goals and three assists.

Newcastle United and Barcelona are also thought to be monitoring Vanderson, whose contract at the Stade Louis II doesn’t expire until 2027.

Elsewhere, Portuguese outlet A Bola are reporting that the asking price for Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos has increased amid interest from United and several other clubs.

The report states that a €40m move was possible in the summer transfer window, but due to his incredible start to the new campaign - where he has registered eight goals and five assists - the price has now gone up.

This is due to the interest from the Reds and other sides, and also because of his inclusion in the Portugal squad for the upcoming international break.

Benfica are reportedly preparing a new contract for the 21-year-old while keeping his €120m release clause - with Record reporting that the player 'will renew' with the Eagles.
