Conspiracy lover pundit Matt Le Tissier insists his views are actually 'very moderate'

Matt Le Tissier's opinions and theories have not endeared himself to many over the last couple of years, yet the Southampton legend does not believe his views are too outrageous

Ex- Southampton captain Matt Le Tissier believes his recent controversial views have been “very moderate” despite the repeated backlashes he has faced.

The Saints legend has found himself on the end of public condemnations on numerous occasions this year. As well as claiming actors were masquerading as Coronavirus sufferers in emergency wards, the former England international has also endorsed tweets suggesting images from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, in particular the horrific clips from the Bucha massacre, were fabricated.

Amidst the significant outcry, Le Tissier resigned from his ambassadorial position at Southampton, a decision he insists was of his own making. Nevertheless, Le Tissier does not believe his opinions are too outlandish.

“It’s one I’ve tried to avoid, in terms of being abusive in any way, shape or form,” Le Tissier said during a conversation with former UKIP leader Nigel Farage on his Gettr stream. “I’ve challenged the narrative over the last couple of years and paid the price for it.

“But, all the time, I’ve tried to be respectful and keep my views. I believe my views are very moderate.

“All I’ve been asking for is a bit of balance. And, as you said, we’re not seeing both sides of the story.

“That’s something that I don’t think we’ve had.” Le Tissier has also scolded his many critics as being morally bankrupt, ever since he began airing his questionable views.

Le Tissier was also sacked from his role with Sky Sports News’ beloved score show ‘Soccer Saturday’. He was shown the door along with fellow pundits Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson in a controversial decision from the broadcaster and news program.

However, unlike Thompson and Nicholas, Le Tissier believes his controversial opinions were the reason why he was ushered out of the door.
