Just when you thought Tony Adams couldn't become any more of an Arsenal legend, he's just busted some moves on Strictly Come Dancing in a routine themed around the Gunners.

The former Arsenal captain is a surprise inclusion on the popular dancing show this year, but fans have noticed that his moves on the dance floor have been used in a training session before. The 55-year-old went viral for his moves in a training session while he was managing Spanish side Granada back in 2017.

Adams found the language barrier tough in Spain, and was often seen improvising to get his points across. But his energetic moves spotted during a Granada training session have now come out on Strictly Come Dancing five years later.

The former Arsenal star danced to the same tune as the the iconic Gunners song 'one-nil to the Arsenal', and pulled out his trademark dance. The initial video that went viral in 2017 was posted early into his reign as boss of Granada.

The former Wycombe and Portsmouth manager moved his hands backwards and forwards and side to side in the clip before doing some over-exuberant shuttle runs, finishing up with further strange arm movements. The runs may have been missing on Strictly, but the hand movements were up to scratch.

Adams even recreated his iconic routine during the first Covid lockdown two years ago, teaching them to members of his family in a video posted on Instagram. But now the nation has seen them on mainstream television, and he's quickly becoming a favourite on the show already.

"Name and number on the back of his waistcoat. Recreating the Granada training moves. Dancing to ‘One nil to the Arsenal.’ Sensational stuff again from Tony Adams," one delighted fan said.

"Haha what a gas man! Obviously can have a laugh about things," another said. Although, one viewer wasn't too impressed with the dance, as they said: "Is this Strictly or footage from a wedding?"

Either way, Adams is clearly just on the show to have a good time, and his popularity continues to increase. The Arsenal legend will forever be loved by the Gunners fans, but even they're impressed with his commitment.
