'Sharp intake of breath' - Man City fans react to Pep Guardiola's team vs Manchester United

Manchester City are looking to close the gap on Arsenal at the top of the table as they face Man United.

Manchester City fans have been reacting to the team Pep Guardiola has chosen to face Manchester United in today's derby.

City have started the season tremendously having not tasted defeat in the Premier League so far this campaign. New signing Erling Haaland has been a huge factor in the Blues' success.


His 14 goals in just 10 appearances have catapulted the Blues up to second in the table ahead of today's showdown with United. Erik ten Hag's side, meanwhile, will pose a different challenge to the side that travelled to the Etihad last season.

After a shaky start, the Reds have won four league games on the bounce and find themselves fifth before the start of play. For today's huge clash, Pep Guardiola has made three changes to the side that beat Wolves before the international break.

Rodri is the big miss for Guardiola's side as he does not feature at all. With Kalvin Phillips injured, the defensive midfielder is replaced by Ilkay Gundogan.

Also missing out is Ruben Dias who drops to the bench in favour of Nathan Ake. Meanwhile, Kyle Walker returns as John Stones misses out with injury.

It had been suggested by some supporters in the build-up to the match that perhaps Jack Grealish should be dropped. However, Guardiola has decided to keep faith with the Englishman who joins Haaland and Phil Foden in the front three. Here is what City fans have made of the team.
