'Strange' Wolves claim made over Bruno Lage sacking
Latest Wolverhampton Wanderers news from BirminghamLive as Wolves sack Bruno Lage following defeat at West Ham
Darren Ambrose has questioned the "strange" timing of Wolverhampton Wanderers sacking Bruno Lage.
Lage was dismissed from his job a day after Saturday's 2-0 defeat against West Ham. He had been in charge for 16 months after replacing Portuguese compatriot Nuno Espirito Santo.
Wolves are now in the bottom three of the Premier League with just a one win to their name. Injuries to strikers Sasa Kalajdzic and Raul Jimenez have contributed to them scoring just three goals in the opening eight games.

Speaking on talkSPORT, former Premier League midfielder Ambrose suggests the decision could have been taken sooner, before the international break. "If we're led to believe he had one game to save his job, it's always going to be that," he said.
"If you beat West Ham, it's going to be again, you got one game. If you're already thinking that, his time's up basically, unless you go on a 10-game unbeaten run.
"Even after that, you were already thinking of previously getting rid of him. I just think the timing is strange - it should have happened two weeks ago."
