Marco Rose rings Celtic alarm bell as Leipzig boss warns stars they're heading for a 'hot ride'
All eyes shift to Parkhead as Ange Postecoglou knows a win is a necessity if they are to keep their last 16 dream alive.
Wary Marco Rose is adamant RB Leipzig are in set for a bumpy ride when they face Celtic again next Tuesday night.
The Germans are basking in the glow of their convincing 3-1 victory over Ange Postecoglou's side to reignite their hopes of reaching the last 16 of the Champions League. The mercurial Christopher Nkunku netted before deadly Andre Silva added a brace to take the game away from the Premiership champions.
But Rose - who donned a Celtic scarf and bunnet after guiding Salzburg to a win in Glasgow back in 2018- is acutely aware of the full throttle atmosphere which is awaiting his players next week. Speaking after the game, he said: "At times today it was a wild, uncontrolled match, and for a long time it was a very intense match as well. In the end, I feel we deserve our win - we had many chances, had two goals disallowed and scored three.
"Hopefully this will give us quite a boost for the weeks to come. Then, next Tuesday in Glasgow, we are in for a hot ride - we can be sure of that."
Celtic have been left licking their wounds but know consecutive wins over Leipzig and Shaktar Donetsk will see them in the last 16...IF Real Madrid score consecutive wins in their next two Group F fixtures.
