Jamie Reuben and Mehrdad Ghodoussi's 'proud' message after Newcastle United takeover anniversary

The Magpies are currently sat in the European places after a solid start to the campaign

Newcastle United co-owners Jamie Reuben and Mehrdad Ghodoussi have both taken to social media to send anniversary message to the black and white faithful. Eddie Howe's side were deserving winners as they ran riot against Brentford.

It was a performance that acted as a brilliant signpost of how far the club has come in 12 months under the new owners. The Magpies were 'nailed on' for relegation, but a January investment and the brilliant tutorage of Howe kept them up.

Now, with further summer investment, the Toon are in the European places after a solid start to the season. Newcastle United supporters finally have that team that tries.
