Bolton Wanderers snap up ex-Manchester United, Oxford United & Oldham Athletic goalkeeper

Mackenzie Chapman has signed up for the Whites for the season

Bolton Wanderers have signed goalkeeper Mackenzie Chapman for the club's B team.

Chapman, 20, has signed a contract until the end of the season with the Whites' second string. He has recently been training with the club and has now gone into Matt Craddock's squad for the rest of the campaign.

He will be competing with the likes of Luke Hutchinson and Ellis Litherland in the goalkeeping department. He came through the youth team ranks at Burnley, Manchester United and Oldham Athletic at the beginning of his career.

He told the Oxford Mail : "It’s one for the future, we always wanted three young goalkeepers and we’ve got those in the academy as well.

“He’s a lovely young man, he works really hard and is a tremendous example to the young people coming through.”
