West Brom starting XI v Reading as Richard Beale makes one change
West Brom team news as they take on Reading today in the Championship
Richard Beale has made a single change to the West Brom team who were held to a goalless draw with Luton Town last weekend, as they take on Reading. That involves Taylor Gardner-Hickman, who has been introduced back into the starting XI in place of Okay Yokuslu.
Albion interim boss Beale has called up young striker Reyes Cleary into the match-day squad; he joins Karlan Grant on the bench, along with fellow attacking figure John Swift. He plundered a hat-trick in the 5-2 win over Middlesbrough in the Premier League 2 on Monday evening and has been training with the first-team all week.
The inclusion of him, and right-back Darnell Furlong, in the match-day 18 means that Adam Reach and new signing Tom Rogic miss out on a place in the squad that travels to Berkshire today.
Reading, who are without boss Paul Ince today due to illness, start with former Albion striker Andy Carroll. Paul's son Tom starts in midfield, while another former Baggie, striker Shane Long who is in his second stint with the Royals, is on the bench.
