Neal Maupay offers Dominic Calvert-Lewin solution
Neal Maupay believes he and Dominic Calvert-Lewin can work to crack Everton's goalscoring troubles.
The Blues have scored eight times in their opening 10 Premier League games but have been severely hampered by the injury that ruled Calvert-Lewin out of action until earlier this month. Maupay was only added to the squad in the final stages of the transfer window and is working hard to integrate himself into the setup.
Speaking after the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, he welcomed Calvert-Lewin's comeback and told of his desire to repay the faith of Frank Lampard in bringing him to Merseyside from Brighton and Hove Albion. He also spoke of the increased pressure and expectations he felt since the move due to the size of his new club.

Lampard transfer revolution can ensure no more Everton 'disgraces'
It’s been a tough week or so for Everton and it might get worse before it gets better again but the feeling that everyone is still pulling in the same direction rather than panicking just highlights the scale of the changes that have been made since last season, a time that Andros Townsend has claimed that the Blues players were a disgrace.
Despite suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury on his return to Selhurst Park in a 4-0 FA Cup quarter-finals thrashing to Crystal Palace – Townsend was one of the visitors’ brightest performers before being forced off on a day in which manager Frank Lampard questioned his players’ ‘b*******’ for the fight – the winger was one of his team-mates’ most-enthusiastic supporters in their remaining battle against the drop last season.
As Everton’s players, staff and fans erupted after Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s 85th-minute header put them 3-2 up – also against the Eagles – in their final home game of the campaign and on the way to the victory that would secure their top-flight status and avoid what would have been a first relegation in 71 years, Townsend was spotted joining in with the wild celebrations as he hopped along on one leg. Despite the collective relief as the Blues escaped the drop with what was the joint lowest equivalent points total in the club’s history, the 31-year-old admits that they had fallen well short of the levels required of them.

Mina injury claim
Yerry Mina is reportedly is having the assistance of orthopaedic therapist Carlos Palomeque - who has travelled from South America to work with the Everton defender.
That is according to Colombian outlet Caracol TV, via Sport Witness, who are reporting that doctor has been sharing on social media some videos of Mina’s recovery process, with the Everton player having ‘stretching and strengthening exercises’ recently.
The defender has been sidelined since the 1-0 loss to Chelsea on the opening day of the season, but had initially returned to training and was believed to be making steady progress on his ankle injury with the hope of being involved at the weekend.
However, speaking to the media on Thursday afternoon, Blues boss Frank Lampard confirmed that the Colombia international now faces a longer wait for a return after picking up a “small calf injury”.

Moise Kean claim
The agent of Moise Kean has suggested the Everton loanee may have become 'confused' in his career due to earning a large sum of money at a young age.
Kean is currently at Juventus, having joined the Italian side on a two-year loan with an obligation to buy last summer.
Discussing his client, Kean's agent Rafaela Pimenta told TMW:
He’s a boy, he emerged at sixteen, he earned a lot of money and he may have confused him, but he is talented and good. At Juventus everyone agrees that he is a professional, they do not blame him for wrong behaviour. He is a boy who now only asks to play. Sometimes we forget that he is born in 2000, because he started early. Now he is becoming an adult, I always tell him.”

Brereton Diaz 'scouted'
Everton reportedly sent scouts to watch Ben Brereton Diaz in action last week.
The Blues were strongly linked with a move for the Blackburn Rovers forward in the summer, though a move failed to materialise.
Brereton Diaz has maintained his impressive scoring form this term and is said to have been the subject of an Everton scouting mission last Tuesday as Blackburn fell to defeat at Wigan Athletic, according to the Mirror.

Andros Townsend makes Everton 'failures' admission and Frank Lampard transfer claim
Andros Townsend admits Everton were "failures" and "disgraces" last season and believes Frank Lampard 'got rid' of players who couldn't "hack the pressure of playing for such a big club" during the summer.
In a scathing attack on his side, Townsend has slammed Everton for their performances last season and believes the club would have been relegated if it wasn't for the club's supporters.
Ahead of their last three home matches, thousands of Everton supporters arrived early and took to the streets to produce incredible scenes as Lampard and his squad arrived for the game. Banners and flags were on full display, there was constant loud singing and numerous smoke bombs filled the air to create a raucous atmosphere.
imilar scenes had also been witnessed outside Finch Farm ahead of the Blues' two away trips to Leicester and Watford as supporters looked to inspire their side over the line. And Townsend believes his side didn’t deserve to be treated like "kings" by Blues supporters.
