Manchester United player ratings vs FC Sheriff: Christian Eriksen great and Alejandro Garnacho good
Manchester United recorded another win in the Europa League and here are the player ratings from Old Trafford.
David de Gea
Could have watched the game from the Stretford End, Sheriff were that harmless. Should have had the night off. 6
Diogo Dalot
Should have been more involved in the final third for 40 minutes and then headed in expertly to put United 1-0 up. Replaced on the hour. 7
Victor Lindelof
A stable and serene night ahead of a possible start against West Ham on Sunday. Forceful in the tackle a couple of times. 7

Lisandro Martinez
Had a serene evening, with next to no defending to do. Earned a well-earned breather when he was replaced at the pause. 6
Tyrell Malacia
Proactive on his return to the team down the left and switched to the right after Dalot was substituted. 6
Casemiro
Purposeful on the ball as ever and came off with half-an-hour to play with West Ham in mind. 7
Christian Eriksen
The best player on the pitch, it was fitting Eriksen created the breakthrough. Eriksen's passing was behind most of United's opportunities. 8
Antony
Drew a save and, more memorably, frivolously showboated with the game goalless. Required some treatment and came off at half-time. 6
Bruno Fernandes
Seldom effective in the first-half, he moved to the right for the second-half to accommodate Marcus Rashford as the No.10. Crossed for Cristiano Ronaldo to finally score. 6
Alejandro Garnacho
Utterly unfazed on his full debut and should take it as a compliment Sheriff fouled him time and again. 7
Cristiano Ronaldo
Bullish and bright, he was denied by the goalkeeper and the linesman but eventually got his goal. His body language was the opposite of last week. 7
Subs
Harry Maguire
Serenaded by the United fans ahead of his first appearance in seven weeks. A much-needed run-out with Raphael Varane sidelined. 6
Marcus Rashford
Roamed behind Ronaldo and scored his sixth goal of the season. He now has more than last season. 7
Scott McTominay
Had a role in the second goal. 6
Luke Shaw
A second assist in as many games with a first-time cross for Rashford to continue his fine form. 7
Donny van de Beek
Active. 6
Manager
Enlivened the evening with the inclusion of Garnacho and rested the right players from the start and in-game. 7
