Jamie O'Hara in sheepish Rangers climbdown as he claims Gio's been 'found out' after bold Champions League forecast

The former Tottenham midfielder had high hopes for the Ibrox side before a ball was kicked in the group stage.

Jamie O'Hara has walked back his bold Champions League prediction on Rangers as he insists Gio van Bronckhorst's men WILL end the campaign with an unwanted European tag.

The loudmouth talkSPORT presenter had tipped the Ibrox side to be the "saving grace" of Scottish football in Europe this term before matchday one against Ajax, tipping them to finish above the Dutch champions and Napoli to reach the knockout round. However, Rangers have struggled to make their mark among Europe's elite and defeat to Alfred Schreuder's men would see The Light Blues finish the campaign without a point.

Things could go from bad to worse with a defeat in Govan with a two-goal losing margin set to land them club with the worst ever return in the Champions League groups. O'Hara admits he has been stunned by the form of Rangers in Europe this season having reached the Europa League final last term.

He now reckons they will lose by three goals and claim Dinamo Zagreb's 'worst ever' tag from the Croatian sides dreadful 2011/12 campaign. Speaking to talkSPORT EDGE, the former Tottenham midfielder said: "I didn't think they would be this bad, just because of how good they were in the Europa League.

"I mean, it's not that much of a difference - the Europa League from the Champions League - it's still decent sides in the Europa League that you have got to beat. It's been a disaster for them because they don't even get into the Europa, that's it. They have just been absolutely found out.

"They will get beat by Ajax. I don't want them to be the worst team ever but I think they are going to be. I'm going to go 3-0 (to Ajax)."
