Ex-Rangers boss Graeme Souness admits it will be ‘difficult to recover’ for van Bronckhorst at Ibrox after slip up

GRAEME SOUNESS has admitted Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst is under pressure at Ibrox.
The manager turned pundit claimed that it will be 'difficult to recover' from his side's recent slump in form.
Van Bronckhorst is facing criticism after his side's defeat to St Johnstone yesterday.
Goals from James Brown and Nicky Clark sunk the Gers to send them seven points adrift from the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
They also crashed out of Europe after a series of embarrassing defeats, including shipping 7 goals to Liverpool.
And now pundits and fans alike have been calling for the Dutchman's head.

And while remaining coy on Gio's future, Souness admitted that it will be difficult for the Ibrox manager to win the fans back.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, he said: "Undoubtedly he’s a man under pressure.
"Miserable European campaign, losing to Celtic… it’s going to be difficult for him to recover.
"He’s got to beat Celtic twice. Celtic have to slip up.

"There’s games you’re expected to win simply because, certainly in my day, I could have one player that I bought for more money than the whole eleven players we were playing against.

"Glasgow Rangers are expected to win every game they play and that’s the price on the ticket when you manage that enormous football club. Right now he’s under pressure."
Presenter Jim White was also quizzed about van Bronckhorst's future on the programme.
He claimed according to sources that no discussions are being held.
He said: "We understand that there are no crisis talks planned between the Rangers board and Gio van Bronckhorst.
"A Rangers source has told us that they speak every day and nothing will change in that regard."
