Argentina absolutely dominated in their World Cup warm-up against the United Arab Emirates at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The Albiceleste opened the scoring after just 17 minutes with Manchester City star Julian Alvarez during a counter-attack that saw Lionel Messi setting the striker up in front of Khalid Eisa.
The visitors doubled their lead just eight minutes later with Angel Di Maria’s stunner.
Marcos Acuna’s pinpoint cross from the left found Di Maria at the far post and the Juventus star delivered an immediate volley that gave Eisa no chance.
Argentina appeared to have put the game to bed in the 36th minute when Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister set Di Maria up inside the area and the winger dribbled past a UAE defender and the goalkeeper to score a brace.
Messi netted the fourth with a clinical shot just one minute before half-time after a beautiful through ball by Di Maria.
And Joaquin Correa scored Argentina’s fifth in the hour-mark after a fine through ball by Rodrigo de Paul.

Argentina captain Lionel Messi has won everything throughout his celebrated 17-year career.
Messi recently ended one of his international hoodoos after winning the Copa America last year.
That was the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner's first ever trophy with the Argentinean national team.
There's only one major honour that has been eluding him in the last two decades and that is the World Cup.
And this year's tournament in Qatar poses as his last chance at 35 years old
