Speaking on Ben and Kammy’s Proper Football Podcast, Mark Noble has been discussing Robert Snodgrass and his friendship with the former West Ham midfielder.
The ex-Hammers captain was very close with Snodgrass during his time in east London, and when asked which former colleague he’d most like to spend a six-hour coach trip next to, he named Snodgrass.
Noble says that he and the Scot used to get up to all sorts together at West Ham, stating that some of the pranks and stories he has can’t even be published in his book.
Noble was so close with Snodgrass that he says that he actually got a bit emotional when he ultimately left West Ham.

Noble loved Snodgrass
The West Ham legend spoke about how much he got on with Snodgrass during their time together.
“Robert Snodgrass, mate some of the pranks and the stories. I can’t put them in the book. He’s 100 per cent got something wrong with him, but he’s a genius. Do you know what, I’m not ashamed to say it, when he left West Ham I was emotional mate because you knew every day driving to training would be eventful, no matter what happened,” Noble said.
Great group
We can only begin to imagine how fun it must have been to be a part of that West Ham dressing room around that time.
Noble and Snodgrass are both great characters, as were the likes of Andy Carroll, Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell. So being around that dressing room must’ve been a lot of fun.
West Ham really did have a great group of players at that point in terms of personalities, and as Noble says, it’s quite sad that this group weren’t able to stay together, because having these sort of personalities in the dressing room is so important.
