Rangers coach Roy Makaay admits he wants to spend more time passing on tips to Alfredo Morelos and Antonio Colak

IN his playing days, Rangers coach Roy Makaay was one of European football's most lethal strikers.
And the former Netherlands star admits there's a lot more he wants to pass down to the Light Blues strikers.
Makaay was one of the most lethal goalscorers in the game, enjoying prolific, title-winning spells with Deportivo La Coruna and Bayern Munich.
After finishing his career at Feyenoord, he spent almost a decade coaching at the Rotterdam side before departing in 2019.
And then last year, he moved to Scottish football, linking up with former Dutch teammate Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Ibrox.
Makaay, 47, is first team coach at the Light Blues and therefore has a wider remit than just focusing on the strikers.

But the former goal machine admits he would still like to spend more time passing on what he knows to the current Rangers strikers.
While Alfredo Morelos has struggled to regain his form from before his injury last season, new recruit Antonio Colak has hit the ground running following his summer arrival.
Makaay admits finding the extra time to specifically work with the strikers isn't always easy - but he makes sure he does when he can.
Speaking to Graham Hunter on his Big Interview Podcast, he said: "I'm a first-team coach on the pitch helping him but giving a bit of extra attention to the strikers where possible.

"With the schedule we have it's every few days. To do extra work is not easy.
"It's recover, get fresh and play again. Sometimes we have the youth strikers like Robbie Ure, it's nice to look at the youth players and I've seen him play a few times in the Youth Champions League."
Makaay also hailed Morelos' impact last season before a thigh injury derailed his season and meant he missed the crucial run in, domestically and in Europe.
The Dutchman has described Morelos and his striking rival Colak as "very different" players - although he revealed the one similarity they share that helps Makaay himself!
He added: "Alfredo was injured for a couple of months last season and we missed him at the end of last season.
"Kemar Roofe was injured already. Alfredo was in a great moment when he got injured, he scored a lot of important goals both in the league but in our European run.
"He scored in Dortmund and at home.
"We had to put Joe Aribo up front who did quite well. You have to find solutions which is not easy.

"Antonio is a really nice guy and I can keep my Spanish with Morelos and my German with Colak so for my language it's good.
"But they're two completely different strikers."
