Giovanni van Bronckhorst personality trait that will keep him fighting for future at Rangers revealed by ex-Ibrox coach

GIOVANNI van Bronckhorst won't walk away from Rangers despite his recent struggles at Ibrox, one of his football mentors has insisted.
After falling nine points behind Celtic at the top of the cinch Premiership the Rangers boss has found his job under pressure - despite an historic run to the Europa League final just six months ago.
The Rangers board appears to be taking a patient approach with the Dutchman and have backed the boss so far despite the domestic slump and a horrific Champions League campaign.
And one of his football mentors insists it isn't in van Bronckhorst's make up to abandon ship in stormy waters.
Jam Wouters says his fellow Dutch international and former midfielder at Ibrox will stick it "because he's a fighter".
The pair worked together at Feyenoord and Wouters witnessed a battling quality in the boss that makes him believe he won't quit.
Wouters said: "It’s not in Gio’s character to walk away from the job, especially if there are reasons why it’s not going his way.
"I know him as a person and as a coach and, no, he would never do that because he’ll know that he can turn it around.”
The boss is hopeful the epic injury list at Ibrox will ease off and he will be able to call upon more first-team stars after the world Cyup break.
At the start of November van Bronckhorst faced being without ELEVEN of his top team.

A miserable run followed with just one win in four, a defeat away to St Johnstone that led to fans remonstrating with captain James Tavernier and draw with St Mirren in Paisley, not to mention the ignominious tag of the Champions League's worst group stage performance ever.
Speaking to the Sunday Mail, Wouters added: "No one likes not winning games or when everything is negative. Gio is no different.
"But he’s a fighter.
“He’s a gentleman but when it comes to survival he will fight with everything he has.
"There are reasons for what’s happened this season. It hasn’t always been in his hands but if the people give him time, I am sure Rangers will get back on top again."
