Leigh Griffiths DENIES wrongdoing after ex-Celtic ace’s arrest over sports betting allegations as Dundee react to claims

LEIGH GRIFFITHS has 'denied any wrongdoing' after being arrested by cops over sports betting allegations.
The ex-Celtic striker, 32, had his home in Bothwell, South Lanarkshire, raided by police yesterday morning.
He was one of three men arrested then released without charge as Police Scotland carried out an operation in Bothwell, Midlothian and Airdrie on Thursday.
Griffiths and Dundee midfielder Paul McGowan were among those questioned by the police over the allegations.
Police say investigations are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Following a pre-planned police operation on Thursday, 1 December, three men, aged 37, 35 and 32, were arrested in the Bothwell, Bonnyrigg and Airdrie areas in connection with an investigation into alleged gambling incidents in sport.

“All three men were released without charge pending further enquiries."
As reported by the BBC, Griffiths confirmed that he spoke to police but said he was not arrested and denied any wrongdoing.
Dundee said they would be supporting the authorities with their inquiries.
They said: "Dundee Football Club are aware of the ongoing Police Scotland investigation as reported in the media this morning.
