Celtic given HUGE Cho Gue-sung transfer boost as key details revealed in the hunt for World Cup star

CELTIC have been given a huge boost in the hunt of South Korean World Cup hero Cho Gue-sung.
SunSport revealed last week that Ange Postecoglou's men had entered the race to land the 24-year-old in January but face stern competition from across Europe.
Interest in the hitman spiked after he netted a stunning double against Ghana in the World Cup group stages last week.
It was a double that, depsite losing the game, helped South Korea qualify for the last sixtee and Celtic remain interested in bolstering their forward line in the transfer window.
Cho is a striker well known to Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou after netting against his former side Yokohoma Marinos in the Asian Champions League in 2020, shortly before the Aussie boss made the move to Parkhead.
And his goalscoring exploits have now led to him being a man in demand.

The 24-year-old jetted off to Qatar off the back of a stunning season for both Jeonbuk Motors and South Korean army side Gimcheon Sangmu, netting 21 times in 35 games as well as six goals in 19 appearances for his country.
But his representatives have now blown the race for the 6ft 2 striker wide open as they ruled out a move to Fenerbahce and Rennes.
They told Korean outlet Khan: "The rumour that these two clubs are interested in Cho Gue-sung is not true.
"It is true that clubs in Europe are interested in Cho Gue-sung. It is certain that (clubs in) the European leagues are keeping an eye on Cho Gue-Sung at the World Cup.”

Celtic are keen to add depth at the top end of the park and it's understood that Postecoglou wants to bring in a third striker.
Kyogo Furuhashi and Giorgos Giakoumakis are currently vying for the No9 spot at the top end of the park.
But with reports suggesting that contract talks with Giakoumakis have broken down, Celtic may look to get a ready made replacement lined up before they cash in on the classy Greek striker.
