Serie A side Udinese join race for Hibs star Ryan Porteous as they fight six Championship clubs for January transfer

UDINESE have joined the race to land Hibs star Ryan Porteous.
SunSport revealed at least six English Championship clubs want to sign the Scotland star in January.
But Serie A side Udinese are also keen and could table an offer to Hibs in the coming weeks.
Italian sides are closely monitoring the Scottish market following the success of Aaron Hickey at Bologna.
Lewis Ferguson is now starring for the Serie A outfit, while Josh Doig has made a big impact at Hellas Verona since leaving Hibs in the summer.
Udinese previously failed in a bid to land Celtic’s Stephen Welsh and have now turned their attention to Porteous.

Watford - who are also owned by the Pozzo family like the Italians - have also been tracking Porteous in recent months.
The two clubs have a long history of loaning players between each other and appear to share a recruitment network.
Porteous looks destined to leave Hibs in January and is a target of at least half a dozen Championship sides.
West Brom, Norwich, Sunderland, Stoke City and Millwall are also keen on the 23-year-old.

Hibs boss Lee Johnson urged Championship clubs to sign Porteous after contract talks ended between the two parties.
The Easter Road side look set to sell the academy graduate in January and will hope to agree a sell-on fee.
Kamara, who was named Finland's Player of the Year just last week, was namechecked by new Light Blues boss Michael Beale as being an integral part of his plans as he prepares to take the reins.
He was reduced to being a bit-part player under sacked boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who used the former Dundee man very sparingly this season.

Serie A side Salernitana were previously linked with a move for the 27-year-old last month and they want him to link up with former Rangers loanee Lassana Coulibaly, who is now at the Italian outfit.
The side - managed by former Aberdeen skipper Antoine Kombouare - have struggled in Ligue 1 this season and have won just two of their 15 games and are fighting a relegation battle.
