Unai Emery posts message after Aston Villa's UAE trip ends with Chelsea win
BirminghamLive brings you the latest Aston Villa news as Unai Emery posts social media message after UAE trip
Unai Emery has thanked the Dubai Lions and Aston Villa fans for their support during the club's trip to the UAE.
Villa spent a week in the Middle East for a warm-weather training camp away from Bodymoor Heath and played two friendlies against Premier League opposition. Emery's side drew 2-2 with Brighton on Thursday before managing to beat Chelsea 1-0 at Al-Nahyan Stadium three days later.
The training camp would have been invaluable for Emery and his staff to get to know their players better and allow them to continue implementing their ideas on the group. Working in the sweltering Dubai heat will have boosted fitness too.

He posted on Instagram: "Good training camp in UAE. Thanks to our fans, to our loyal @dubailionsavfc for their support. And thanks @alwahdafcc, Abu Dabi and Dubai people for your hospitality.
"Next stop Villa Park vs @villarrealcf on Thursday. Very special match. Hope to see you all there!!"
