Celtic transfer target Cho Gue-sung has revealed he will decide which European team to join after weighing up who will give him guaranteed game time.

The South Korean World Cup star has been strongly linked with a move to Celtic and the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors striker has also been mentioned with a switch to Fenerbahce and Rennes. Cho became the first South Korean player to score two goals at a World Cup game when he netted a double against Ghana in the group stages.

And, in an interview on South Korean channel Yonhap's 'Saturday Wide' programme at the weekend, he underlined how he would choose his next move. Cho said: "Rather than dreaming of signing for one specific club, for me, being able to play every week is the most important aspect of any move and that's what will influence me. But I can honestly say there is nothing concrete about a transfer yet."

And Cho revealed the story behind his Qatar bust-up with Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo when his country faced them in Qatar and the former Manchester United star was delaying his departure from the pitch after being subbed.

He said: "We were in a situation where we had to score one more goal against Portugal and Ronaldo was being substituted off. He was being slow so I walked up to him and said 'faster' in English to him. I wanted him to get off the pitch quicker. He wasn't happy.

"There were many people who thought what I did wasn't acceptable, but I wanted him off the pitch as quickly as possible because I was desperate to win. I really enjoyed the tournament and we all got a great reaction when we returned home to the airport."
