Celtic transfer target Cho Gue-Sung on front cover of Vogue magazine as he gets set for reality TV show

THE WORLD CUP might be over, but Celtic target Cho Gue-sung's star continues to rise.

The South Korea striker became a superstar in his homeland during the finals but not only for his on-field impact.

He saw his popularity rocket online, going from 20,000 Instagram followers to just of 3million during the course of the finals.

That mind-boggling surge in fans came off the back of a video of Cho that went viral on social media.

A rather simple clip of him sitting on the bench has been viewed millions of times.

The 24-year old also found himself inundated with marriage proposals as fans swooned over the man dubbed the World Cup's 'sexiest star.'

South Korea's World Cup journey ended over two weeks ago as they lost 4-1 to Brazil in the last 16.

But Cho's own stardom continues to grow.

As several clubs, including Celtic, target a move for the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors striker, his off-field profile heightens.

Such is his popularity back home, Cho is now featuring on the cover of Vogue magazine in Korea!

The country's new superstar sat down with the world famous magazine for a photoshoot and interview.

The front cover sees Cho branded a "supernova" after his excellent World Cup showing.

He shared a picture of the magazine cover on his Instagram, joking: "Isn't that a brother I know?"

As well as his Vogue appearance, Cho is also set to star in a popular Korean reality TV show.

He's starring in an upcoming episode of "I Live Alone," a programme that gives fans a glimpse into the day-to-day life of celebrity figures.

In a trailer for the show, Cho can be seen waking up, heading to the gym and enjoying time with his family.

Narrating over the pictures, he says: "I think every year my happiness grows.

"It continues to grow and grow and grow. I want to be happy like I am now."

A decision on Cho's next move appears to be imminent.

As well as Celtic, Fenerbahce and Rennes have also been credited with an interest in him.

In one clip in the trailer for 'I Live Alone,' Cho can be seen wearing a green jumper - a sign of things to come?
