Celtic transfer news as Cho Gue-Sung makes Oh Hyeon-gyu confession and Oscar Gloukh agent sets the rules

Ange Postecoglou is pleased with his business so far but is always seeking improvements amid a manic month so far.

There may be three new faces in the door but Celtic supporters know full well Ange Postecoglou's mantra to 'never stop' goes beyond the pitch.

The signings of Yuki Kobayashi, Alistair Johnston and Tomoki Iwata have been greatly received, of course, but punters always want more and a new forward goes from probability to likely banker if Giorgos Giakoumakis departs this month. And the future of Josip Juranovic is likely to be a compelling storyline over the rest of the month.

And while Postecoglou is pleased with his business so far, he is acutely aware of the benefits of bedding in new arrivals in winter who are up to speed ahead of another crack at the Champions League. And there's been a slew of names in the mix in recent days over a proposed switch to Parkhead. Record Sport runs the rule on the latest amid a manic month so far.

Cho Gue-Sung and Oh Hyeon-gyu

The Celtic-linked strikers were snapped sharing pleasantries over an intercom yesterday and now Gue-Sung has delved deeper into the relationship between South Korea's strikeforce with both on the Parkhead signing radar. the Jeonbuk forward has revealed his bond with 21-year-old Hyeon-gyu is strong because the pair connected during military service. Gue-Sung hailed the man who is rivalling him in the K-League scoring table. But will one, or both, be heading to Glasgow in the coming days and weeks? Hyeon-gyu's club Suwon and understood to be adamant over keeping their top scorer.

Oscar Gloukh

Gloukh is a wanted man and is set to rival current Celtic star Liel Abada as his nation's most promising young talent. And Gloukh – valued between £5 and £6million – has been urged to stay at Maccabi Haifa if the right move doesn't materialise. His agent, Shahar Greenberg said: “Once in a generation, a player like Oskar Gloukh emerges. Decisions about his future should be thought out in a good way. He is a very special player.

“The best thing for Oskar Gloukh is to stay at Maccabi Tel Aviv until the end of the season. I reckon that’s what will happen. (But) if the right offer comes, then things can change". Monaco are understood to have held preliminary talks for the 18-year-old many believe will emerge as the Israel's finest talent.

Conlan Smith

A word for the 11-year-old as Smith's chuffed dad John revealed the club rolled the green carpet for him after he joined from Hibs. Smith Sr, speaking to Lanarkshire Live, said: "In mid-December I got a phone call from Hibs saying Celtic were interested in Conlan. That blew us away, we were a bit taken aback by it. A couple of weeks later we spoke to Hibs and they were desperate to keep Conlan but they also gave us permission to speak to Celtic.

"When he came in to sign, he got presented with his own strip, signed his contract and they took him out onto the park where they had his name on the big screen. They really rolled the red carpet out for him."
