Former Celtic hero Leigh Griffiths slashes price of luxury Bothwell villa as search for new club continues

FORMER Celtic star Leigh Griffiths has slashed £25,000 off the selling price of his luxury Lanarkshire villa.
The 32-year-old, who shares the four bedroom property with his girlfriend Caitlyn Melville, had put the home in Bothwell up for sale at offers over £675,000.
The impressive 2,131sq ft pad has been on the market since October but Griffiths has now changed the price tag to offers in the region of £650,000 in a bid to attract a buyer.
The former Scotland footballer paid £500,000 for the house in 2020 and Melville has also highlighted the sale on her social media pages.
A property source said: "Bothwell is a property hot spot but the market has definitely slowed in recent months.
"It is a fabulous house though and is certain to be attracting attention of prospective buyers looking to move to a desirable area.

Griffiths left Celtic last year after scoring 123 goals in 261 appearances for the Hoops.
The dad-of-five had a spell at Australian club Mandurah City and was recently training with Scottish Premiership side Livingston.
Last month Griffiths was one of three men arrested then released without charge as police probed betting allegations.
Police Scotland carried out an operation in Bothwell, Midlothian and Airdrie.
Griffiths confirmed he spoke to police but said he was not arrested and denied any wrongdoing.
