A group of cheeky Oxford United fans clambered onto their van to watch their side’s FA Cup clash against Arsenal for free.

The League One side were drawn against the current Premier League leaders in the FA Cup third round. Unfortunately, there was no magical cup upset as Mikel Arteta ’s side scored three second half goals to secure a 3-0 victory.

However, Karl Robinson’s side fought valiantly against the cruising Gunners side who looked vulnerable at times during the first half. Fortunately, one small group of fans did not have to pay for the privilege of the contest.

Instead of a West Stand at the Kassam Stadium, there is a wooden fence and a large car park. While the club have frequently tried to erect a stand in its place, it does enable some fans to be able to watch the game for free.

In order to do this, some rather cheeky fans drove a van towards the fence and parled as close as possible. They then clambered onto the top of the van so they could see onto the pitch.

Nearly two years later, some fans were able to see Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah take his goal tally for all competitions to seven goals. The Englishman, who has scored two Premier League goals in his last three league matches since Gabriel Jesus got injured, scored a fine brace after Mohamed Elneny gave the Gunners’ a second half lead.

In fact, those fans on top of their vehicles would have had the best view in the house for all three Arsenal goals.
