Cho Gue sung takes risky Celtic transfer position as striker's agent issues rallying call for signing 'proposals'

The frontman is being tracked by a host of clubs across Europe and in America after an impressive World Cup performance.

In-demand Cho Gue-sung is set to take his time over deciding his future - with his agent opening the door for a January bidding war.

The Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors forward is firmly on the Celtic radar with the Premiership champions launching a bid of around £3million, while Bundesliga side Mainz have also put in their offer to land South Korea's World Cup hero in the January window after Gue-sung netted twice for his country in Qatar. Manchester United hero Park Ji-Sung has jetted in to London to talk to interested parties on behalf of Jeonbuk, with Rangers and Minnesota United named among suitors this month.

Minnesota have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of the frontman, with the MLS side being told that Gue-sung has his sights set on Europe as he weighs up his options away from the K-League. However, Ange Postecoglou may have to bide his time to get his man.
