Allan McGregor has let Rangers down insists John Hartson as Celtic hero says goalie has been ‘nailed to the floor’

ALLAN McGREGOR is the man to blame for a lot of Rangers' conceded goals in the last couple of seasons.
That's the opinion of Celtic legend John Hartson, who has slammed the veteran goalkeeper in his latest radio rant.
McGregor has been the man between the sticks for five out of Michael Beale's first seven matches in charge since taking over from Gio van Bronckhorst at Ibrox.
The goalkeeper missed his side's 1-0 win over Ross County through injury and was replaced by Jon McLaughlin for their latest win against Dundee United at the weekend.
Beale's predecessor, Van Bronckhorst, decided to switch things up at the start of the season to give his teammate the No1 spot for the opening six premiership fixtures before McGregor was handed his place back against United in September.
The 40-year-old was in goals for five out of the six Champions League group stage matches too as he conceded an astounding 18 in just FIVE matches.

And Hartson insists McGregor was the man at fault for a lot of those goals as he reckons his decision making has cost Rangers on several occasions.
Asked whether the stopper lacks confidence when defending crosses, Hartson Go Radio: “It’s the one thing Allan McGregor doesn’t do particularly well.
“This is not a criticism of him in any way but McGregor has let Rangers down on several occasions coming for crosses.
“He’s almost been nailed to the floor in terms of his feet. He doesn’t come, he doesn’t make decisions when the ball is in his six yard box.

“Several times in Europe he’s cost Rangers goals. For a lot of those goals, you could blame McGregor for not making the decision."
McLaughlin was the one who got the nod by Beale to start the clash with Dundee United at the weekend.
Rangers kept a clean sheet as they won 2-0 to claw three points back on the Hoops at the top of the Premiership table.
And Hartson expects Beale to switch between his two goalkeepers for the remainder of the campaign.
Asked if he was surprised by McLaughlin starting against Liam Fox’s side, he said: “Not really, I think that’s the way Rangers are going to go.
“They’re going to change their goalkeepers. They've got two very good ones and it’s difficult keeping them both happy because they obviously want to play.
“McGregor has got vast expeience and I’m sure McLaughlin would have learned a lot working alongside him.
“He’s in a very good position, Michael Beale, and I think he’ll just try to keep both goalkeepers happy.”
