Celtic have reportedly offered Jeonbuk Hyndai Motors a huge sell-on percentage as they look to land in-demand Cho Gue-sung this month.

The South Korean striker is on Ange Postecoglou's radar and while Rangers are also keeping tabs on the situation, and it's believed Celtic and Major League Soccer side Minnesota United who have shown the most direct interest. The Parkhead side want to add a new front man with Giorgos Giakoumakis' future looking increasingly doubtful after failed contract negotiations and Gue-sung could be their man after an impressive World Cup in Qatar.

He's shot to superstardom in his homeland with reality TV appearances, magazine cover shoots and more than three million Instagram followers and he could bring that megastar status to Glasgow's end. But competition from the States means it is far from a done deal as his current club field offers and hope for a bidding war to commence.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Hoops have offered €3m (£2.6m) up front, which is less than the €5m (£4.4m) Minnesota have put on the table. But it's claimed Celtic have also offered HALF of any future sale up to a cap of €6m, which they hope will be enough to turn the tide in their favour.

Minnesota it's reported have offered just 30 per cent on a future sale while it's not reported what Mainz are offering in addition to their €3m bid. However, a move to the Bundesliga appears increasingly unlikely with the bidding war gathering pace.
