The search for a new frontman looks set to go on as Giorgios Giakoumakis nears the exit door.

Shimizu S Pulse striker Thiago Santos Santana is reportedly being "tracked" by Celtic this month as the club ramp up their search for a successor to Giorgios Giakoumakis.

The towering Greek frontman is moving closer to the Parkhead exit door with reports suggesting he is set to jet out to Japan to undergo a medical before penning a bumper contract with Urawa Red Diamonds, while Sampdoria also hold an interest in the 28-year-old after contract talks with Celtic stalled.
