Liam Cooper likes tweet about player Leeds have reportedly bid £22m for

Leeds United central defender Liam Cooper has liked a post on Twitter about the club signing Azzedine Ounahi from Angers in the January transfer window.

Cooper has liked a Leeds fan’s team at the end of January that includes Ounahi, a player the Premier League club have been strongly linked with.

L’Equipe have reported that Leeds have made a bid of €25 million (£22 million) for the 22-year-old Morocco international midfielder, described as “absolutely incredible” by AS Roma head coach Jose Mourinho in Goal in December 2022.

Could a January transfer happen?

In our view, Leeds United would have to work extremely hard to get a deal for Azzedine Ounahi done in the January transfer window.

Yes, the Whites are very keen on the midfielder, but there is speculation that the player himself does not fancy a move to Elland Road.

According to a report in Calico Napoli 24, the midfielder, who played for Morocco at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, wants to join Napoli.

Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the Angers star.

According to La Repubblica, Spurs have been in talks with Angers over Ounahi.
