West Bromwich Albion and Chesterfield played out a six-goal thriller at the Technique Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup - but the replay will not be aired on live television.

The Baggies would have been expected to see off the non-league side with relative ease a week and a half ago, particularly after Brandon Thomas-Asante gave them the perfect start. The forward smacked a low cross into the roof of the net in the second minute.

But just five minutes later the Derbyshire outfit equalised through Tyrone Williams. It didn't take Karlan Grant too long to regain the lead for the visitors, but the Spireites simply would not lie down.

Indeed, a quickfire Armando Dobra brace put them ahead before half-time and a massive FA Cup shock was on the cards. They frustrated West Brom for the entirety of the second-half - that was, until very late in the game when Thomas-Asante broke the offside trap and scored for the second time.

The sixth goal of an enthralling tie denied Chesterfield a famous victory, but they get to do it all again at the Hawthorns tonight (kickoff 8pm) and hopefully we get another entertaining classic. You'll only get to see it if you have tickets for the match, though.

That's because the BBC have chosen to broadcast the third round replay between Wolves and Liverpool as their live game instead, meaning Albion's tussle with Paul Cook's men will not be televised.

For those not heading to the stadium, our West Brom reporter Joe Chapman will be providing match updates and post-match reaction and analysis from the match here on BirminghamLive, Twitter and Facebook.

You can also buy an audio pass to listen to live commentary of the match on the West Brom website. Highlights of the match will be available to watch on the official FA Cup YouTube channel after the final whistle, as well as on BBC platforms.
