Harry Kane matches Jimmy Greaves’ all-time goalscoring record at Tottenham as Antonio Conte’s men earn crucial win against Fulham

Harry Kane has become Tottenham's joint all-time top goalscorer as he netted the decisive goal during their 1-0 win at Fulham.

The Spurs striker matched the record when he brilliantly turned Tim Ream before curling the ball past Bernd Leno from the edge of the box on the stroke of half time at Craven Cottage.

That effort has put the 29-year-old on 266 goals for the club, level with club legend Jimmy Greaves, who has the same amount.

Kane's opener came somewhat against the run of play with Marco Silva's men asking plenty of questions of Spurs in the first half.

But that goal knocked the stuffing out of the home side with Spurs managing the game expertly after the break to seal the three points and go three points off the top four - although they have played one more match than fourth-placed Manchester United.

Kane, who was brilliantly denied by Leno with a header early in the second half, now just needs just one more goal for Tottenham to surpass Greaves' record and cement his status as the club's greatest ever goalscorer.

As well as making his mark on the Spurs' record books, Kane also has his sights set on a Premier League landmark.

Kane's record-equalling strike against the Cottagers was also his 199th goal in the English top flight, meaning that he is just one away from hitting 200 goals in the Premier League.

As it stands, the Tottenham star is third in the list of all-time top Premier League scorers with Wayne Rooney in second on 208 goals.

Kane has some work to do, however, if he's to become the top goalscorer in Premier League history with Newcastle legend Alan Shearer on 260 goals.

That said, it would take a brave person to bet against Spurs' joint-top goalscorer reaching that tally.
