Unai Emery's squad is edging closer to full fitness ahead of Aston Villa's trip to Manchester City on Sunday (4.30pm kick-off).

The Villa boss was handed a double boost ahead of his side's defeat to Leicester City as both Lucas Digne and John McGinn returned to the matchday squad. Digne was named in the starting XI before being replaced by Alex Moreno, while Villa's captain remained among the substitutes.

Several of Villa's long-term absentees are continuing to make strides in their respective recoveries. However, Emery was handed a new concern as Ashley Young was forced off with a suspected injury against the Foxes.
