The likes of Romario, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo are among the Brazilian football stars to have made headlines for their off-field bedroom antics during their careers

Brazilian football has often been described as sexy with "Joga Bonito" delivering a record five World Cup triumphs for the national team.

However, a number of the South American nations biggest stars from past and present have also made headlines for their sex-related antics off the field. From the wild sex life of Romario to a conman who bonked 1000 women without kicking a ball, Brazilian football and raunchy behaviour seems to go hand in hand.

With that in mind, here Daily Star Sport breaks down the racy acts of five of Brazilian football's biggest sh****rs from down the years.

Romario

Forward Romario made as much of a habit of scoring in the bedroom as he did on the pitch during his illustrious career. His entire lifestyle was centred around sex when he was not racking up 780 goals during his career.

Ex-Barcelona team-mate Hristo Stoichkov even exclaimed: "Romario was only interested in two things: football and f***ing. Romario’s lifestyle, his constant coming and going caused problems with his wife."

Romario himself has admitted that he would even stay home away from the team before matches to get in extra sex sessions with his wife.

Ronaldinho

The party lifestyle of Ronaldinho has been no secret to fans both during and after the Ballon d'Or winner's playing days. At one point, the former Barca and AC Milan star lived with two girlfriends at once at a mansion in Rio de Janeiro.

Although Ronaldinho has denied being romantically involved with both Priscilla Coelho and Beatriz Souza at the same time, it has been claimed that he had separate bedrooms for the women and would swap between them each night.

Ronaldinho has also starred in music videos with naked models and once dated Italian porn star Sara Tommasi for two months.

Before he attempted to become Brazil's answer to Hugh Hefner by purchasing Brazilian Playboy, Ronaldo's love of prostitutes left him red-faced and on the phone to police.

After inviting three sex workers to his hotel room as he relaxed in Rio de Janeiro whilst recovering from an injury in 2008, Ronaldo soon realised the prostitutes were all men. The following "altercation" included threats of violence and an accusation the sex workers were trying to extort money from Ronaldo, according to police.

Ronaldo also compared winning the World Cup to having sex after doing so twice in his career and had an "ache down below" after Brazil's stars were banned from bonking for 40 days on their way to glory in 2002.

Carlos Raposo

Infamous football conman Carlos Raposo enjoyed a wild life of sex, money and partying after barely kicking a ball during a 26-year career. His charm earned him contracts with several clubs around the world before they unearthed his lack of ability.

Raposo's charisma also worked on women too, as he has boasted of sleeping with 1,000 girls during his life. He would often pretend to be his friend and real-life footballer Renato Gaucho by showing grainy clips of his goals to impress women.

Reflecting on his antics, he told The Sun in 2018: "Just being a football player made me a magnet for women. I was addicted to sex, like Michael Douglas. I would sleep with at least three women a day."

Hulk

Although Hulk cannot lay claim to a bizarre sex story on the levels of Ronaldinho and Ronaldo, the cult hero is part of one of football's most bonkers relationships.

Back in 2019, the former Porto and Zenit St. Petersburg forward ended his 12-year relationship with his wife and moved on with a new woman who turned out to be his former niece-in-law.

Hulk and his new wife have since had a child together after the news of their relationship made his ex Iran Angel de Souza "die inside".

Adriano

Tipped as the successor to Ronaldo in Brazil's star-studded frontline, Adriano's career was plagued by off-field issues as he fell away from the top of the game.

After a year out of the game, a 33-year-old Adriano was on the verge of a return to Europe after being offered a contract by French side Le Havre, only for the deal to later fall through. The Emperor was said to be distraught at the collapse of the transfer and chose to console himself with sex.

Adriano is understood to have spent £13,000 on 18 prostitutes as he flew the sex workers out to Brazil for a private party to cheer himself up.
