Vardy, Souttar, Tete - Brendan Rodgers delivers Leicester City injury news ahead of Aston Villa
Latest Aston Villa news from BirminghamLive brings you Leicester City's injury update ahead of Premier League clash
Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has given an injury update on his squad ahead of their clash against Aston Villa this afternoon (3pm kick-off).
The Foxes are winless in their last five league games, and drew 2-2 with Brighton last time out. City, who are just one point outside of the relegation zone, haven't won a league game at Villa Park since 2019.
Ahead of the clash, January recruits Victor Kristiansen and Tete will be in contention to make their Premier League debuts, while £15million signing Harry Souttar will be assessed to see if he is fit, after missing Stoke's last two games due to a minor hip problem.

Jamie Vardy, meanwhile, is close to returning from a glute injury that saw him miss the FA Cup win over Walsall. Boubakary Soumare and Jonny Evans will miss out at Villa Park.
Speaking in his press conference, Rodgers said: "The team’s looking well. We’ve trained well. We’ve got one or two to look at after training [Friday] to see on availability. Jamie [Vardy] hasn’t done so much over the last period of time but he’s now out on the field. We need to see his reaction.
"Some of the guys have come back really well, but it’s probably going to be next week before they join the squad, the likes of Bouba Soumare and Jonny Evans. They’ll train next week.
"Ricardo Pereira is doing very well and will play in a game next week. He’s looked great in training these past few weeks, so it’s just about him stepping up. (Ndidi) has been training well. He’s had a personal issue this week that won’t see him involved, but going forward, he won’t be too far away."
Rodgers then said of Souttar: "We just have to see. He had a hip issue coming in. He trained today with the squad, he hasn’t done a great deal over the 10 days he was out.
"He’s one I need to assess. If it wasn’t this weekend, he’ll certainly be ready for next weekend."
