COL WARNING

The moment Rangers star Antonio Colak spots goal mayhem unfolding as he warns Malik Tillman as cup carnage unravels

MALIK TILLMAN scored a controversial goal against Partick Thistle to take the lead in yesterday's Scottish Cup clash.

Rangers won the Ibrox tie 3-2 to progress to the quarter-final of the competition as Thiste boss Ian McCall was axed after the match.

It was quite the thriller in Govan, but it was the Light Blues' second goal that has grabbed the headlines today.

Chaos unfolded in the 70th minute of the incredible cup clash when Rangers knocked the ball out of play so Tillman could receive treatment for an injury.

The Championship outfit then resumed with the throw-in, as Kevin Holt prepared to launch the ball down-field to return possession to Michael Beale's men.

Tillman didn't seem to get the memo, though, and he dramatically nicked the ball off of Holt and ran clean through on goal and made it 2-1.

The match descended into chaos as the American international was bundled to the ground by Thistle players and referee David Munro was powerless to intervene.

Beale then demanded his players to allow their opponents to score a goal in return as Scott Tiffoney ran up the park to put it in the net.

It was a crazy few minutes at Ibrox, but Beale insisted that Tillman didn't realise he was in the wrong and was unaware the ball had been booted out of play.

But his teammate Antonio Colak was well aware of the situation and tried to warn him beforehand.

The Croatian striker was spotted waving at Tillman and pointing to the linesman as the 20-year-old snatched the ball off of Holt and darted on goal.

Colak made a half-hearted run into the box to support him as Tillman danced through the Thistle defence before sticking it past goalkeeper Jamie Sneddon in the net.

Tempers were high in the Thistle box afterwards and Colak tried to calm things down as players surrounded Tillman on the floor.

The 29-year-old had his arms up apologetically and sympathised with his opponents as they confronted Tillman.

Moments later Beale took matters into his own hands and told his players to allow Tiffoney's equaliser.
