Clinton Morrison sent Aston Villa response after Jack Grealish 'loyalty' claim

Aston Villa supporters have responded to former Birmingham City striker Clinton Morrison.

Morrison hit out at Villa fans for their treatment of Jack Grealish in the 3-1 defeat at Manchester City last weekend. While commentating on the match, he said on BBC Radio 5Live: "I'm surprised he [Grealish] is getting booed.

"He is a boyhood fan, it’s his boyhood club, they got a lot of money for him but they are booing him. Oh well, I suppose that happens in football, no loyalty nowadays," he laughed.

Avtomfc: "It was the same when he came to Villa Park. I couldn't believe it! He was a hero to us, helped get us promoted and dedicated years of his life to us. It's his life and he can make what decisions he likes. It's only like any of us getting a better job. There's no guarantee we are gonna start making Europe and especially 2 years ago so why do people have a problem with him. Rant over he's just a bloke the same as the rest of us."

Karen Morbey: "Wish people would grow up. Football is his job, his career. Doesn't stop him being a villa fan. I moved jobs, moved on to hopefully better things. Give the lad a break. On the pitch his loyalty lies with Man City at the minute."

Richard Wil: "He just dived to win a penalty (whether legit or not, it was theatrical and embarrassing). What did he expect from the Villa fans ? "We love you jack"? Don't think so!"

Newman Chris: "Loyalty.. He signed a new contract said he loves villa and believes in the project, put a release clause in then he went less than a year later, then dives to win a pen against us."
