Stewart Downing has said on talkSPORT (9:10am, February 20, 2023) that he hopes that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool sign Declan Rice from David Moyes’s West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
Downing, who played for both Liverpool and West Ham, believes that it is time for Rice to move on.
The former England international has said that he hopes that Liverpool are able to sign the 24-year-old in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool are among the clubs who have been linked with Rice.
GiveMeSport reported in January 2023 that Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in signing the West Ham star in the summer of 2023.
According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal are determined to sign Rice from London and Premier League rivals West Ham in the summer of 2023 and could prioritise him over fellow midfielder Moises Caicedo of Brighton and Hove Albion.

TalkSPORT journalist and presenter Jim White has said that West Ham want as much as £120 million plus add-ons for the midfielder in the summer of 2023.
Now, it remains to be seen if Liverpool are willing to pay over £120 million for a single player, but it seems that Downing would love Rice at Anfield.
