Pressure on former Manchester United ace Phil Neville as Inter Miami suffer late Chicago Fire defeat
It has been an indifferent start to the season for the former Manchester United defender
Inter Miami head coach Phil Neville will be feeling the pressure this weekend as his side fell to a late defeat against Chicago Fire.
Fire, who had not won in the early stages of the MLS season, were 2-0 to the good by 38 minutes thanks to goals from Christopher Mueller and Carlos Teran. Franco Negri pulled a goal back for the hosts in the dying moments of the first half to give Miami some hope for the second 45.
This hope would be capitalised upon in the 76th minute when Nicolas Stefanelli equalised. Momentum was fully with Neville's men but there would be a late sting in the tail.

Former Norwich City and Middlesbrough striker Kei Kamara would score in the second minute of added time to secure Chicago's first victory of the season. The defeat was a blow to the ex-England women manager after an indifferent start to the Eastern Conference campaign.
Despite back-to-back 2-0 victories to start the season against Montreal and Philadelphia, the David Beckham-owned franchise have hit a rough spell. Defeat to Chicago was their third loss in a row following losses to New York City and Toronto.
In November, Neville was handed a new contract by Beckham to be in charge of Miami for the 2023 season however this is not the start that either man would have had in mind. Expectations are high at Beckham's relatively new club and recent reports have suggested that Miami are hoping to lure Lionel Messi to the club should he choose not to extend his stay at PSG.
But, should their results not improve, Neville and co may not be able to secure the star signing.
