Carlton Palmer has confirmed he suffered a heart attack as the former England international gave an update on his health situation.

The ex-Sheffield Wednesday star had announced on Twitter on Monday morning that he had been kept in hospital overnight after his "heart played up" during the Sheffield half marathon on Sunday.
