Klopp praise

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on Arsenal fans for their part in "the most respectful minute of silence" he has ever seen in the Gunners' 2-2 draw at Anfield last Sunday.

Supporters paid their respects to the 97 people who died in the Hillsborough disaster before the game ahead of this weekend's 34th anniversary of the 1989 disaster.

"First and foremost, you're right it was probably and most respectful minute of silence I have ever witnessed, last week," Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.

"There was absolutely no noise apart from a little baby, and that was absolutely fine. That you could hear the baby showed how silent is was."

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has spoken about his side's chances of winning this season's Premier League title.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture against West Ham United, Arteta said: "You need luck in the title race. That luck and what you think is going to happen. Sometimes it’s about inches and they have to go your way."

When asked about statistical models favouring Manchester City to lift the trophy, the Spaniard added: "When you asked them at the start of the season, it was like this. So nothing has changed."

Klopp's praise for Arsenal fans

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Arsenal fans following the minute's silence that was held at Anfield last week to mark the 34th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

When asked about the tribute on Friday, Klopp said: "First and foremost, you're right it was probably the most respectful minute of silence I have ever witnessed, last week. There was absolutely no noise apart from a little baby, and that was absolutely fine.

"That you could hear the baby showed how silent it was." When asked specifically about Gunners fans, the German added: "It was touching, to be honest."

Arteta claim

Journalism Sam Lee has reported that Manchester City are keen on Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta as a future replacement for Pep Guardiola whenever the former Bayern Munich manager decides to leave the Citizens.

Speaking on The Athletic Football Podcast, Lee said: “What I would say at risk of making my answers even longer, about 18 months ago I spoke to someone who knows Pep and he knows what’s going on at City and we were speaking about who would be next, and he said that (Patrick) Vieira and Arteta would be in the frame.

"It’s funny how football works, Vieira now, you’d say no way and Arteta is almost too good, you can’t get him out of Arsenal with what he’s doing."

Bellingham question

Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has urged his old side to try and sign Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

“Not many mentions of Bellingham to Arsenal,” Campbell told Sky Sports.

“I think he has been virtually linked with all of the teams in the Champions League. Arsenal will qualify for the Champions League this season.

“I would take Jude Bellingham in a heartbeat. I think he will have the pick of the European clubs – I could see him ending up at Madrid, if I am honest.”

Lauren on Ramsdale

Arsenal legend Lauren has claimed that current Gunners goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale should be England's No.1.

Speaking to sportingpost.com, Lauren said: "A top team needs a great spine, and at the top of the spine is the Goalkeeper. Ramsdale has been brilliant all season and yesterday he made two amazing saves when it was 2-2 in a difficult moment. He’s one of the top goalkeepers in the Premier League and I’m sure he’ll be pushing to start for the England national team soon.

"I also think it highlights good strategy from the club. They signed a player with great potential, and that has now become a reality. He’s been proving it all season and I think he’s one of the best in the League."

Neville claim

Manchester United hero Gary Neville has surpisingly ranked Chelsea's midfield ahead of Arsenal's.

Speaking on the latest Overlap live show on YouTube, the United hero said: "I thought the midfield three of Fernandez, Kovacic and I've forgotten the other one now. Kante.

"N'Golo Kante, I thought that behind City's of Rodri, (Kevin) De Bruyne and (Ilkay) Gundogan, probably the best midfield I've seen all season as a three, they were fantastic as a three (against Liverpool last week)."

Injury boost

Newcastle World reports that the Magpies are set to be without key winger Allan Saint-Maximin for four-to-six weeks, which could rule him out of the clash against Arsenal in early May.

Eddie Howe's side managed to earn a point from City in a 3-3- draw earlier this season, while the Gunners were held to a 0-0 stalemate. It remains to be seen whether Saint-Maximin's absence will be felt by the team, however it could be a huge loss that impacts the title race one way or another.
